Foot-and-Mouth Disease Emergency Preparation Course for Canada

May 24, 2022 at 8:00 AM - June 28, 2022 at 4:00 PM

Working together, the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) have successfully tailored the EuFMD’s ‘Foot-and-Mouth Disease Emergency Preparation Course’ to reflect the Canadian context.

Kicking off in May 2022, this bilingual tutored online course is perfect for CFIA and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) veterinarians, as well as private veterinarians and veterinary technicians. The course opens and closes with live webinars (two in English, two in French) that are co-presented by experts from EuFMD and CFIA. Over the course of the training, participants will engage in bilingual online forums, where tutors will lead in-depth discussions and make themselves available to answer questions.

This program has been submitted (but is not yet approved) for 12 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval.

This course is a collaborative effort organized by the Animal Health Emergency Management Project. Learn more at https://animalhealth.ca/ahem/training/
