Canadian Veterinary Medical Association Compiles Resources to Help Select and Own a Pet

August 29, 2017

If we ask any pet owner how they feel when arriving home to a warm welcome, we will hear how much happiness a pet can bring to their lives. However, we also know that pet ownership brings a lifelong commitment to the animal’s well-being.

The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) created a section on its website called Selecting and Owning a Pet, which contains resources to help people complete the necessary research and make the necessary commitments to ensure their pet has a healthy and happy life. The section also raises understanding of what impact owning a pet may have on the people and community around them.

Visit AnimalHealthCare.ca on the CVMA website to view the resources compiled specifically to help you select and own a pet. Additional resources will be posted as the CVMA determines their relevance.
