Experience Toronto: Discover the World. The WSAVA/CVMA Congress is less than two months away!

May 6, 2019

The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association is bringing the world to Canada in this joint Congress between the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) and the CVMA.

The WSAVA/CVMA Congress is less than two months away! Here’s your chance to experience a World Congress in YOUR own country.

The Congress has many registration options to suit your needs; from full registration, daily registration, and onsite registration. Details on prices can be found on the Congress website. All fees are in Canadian dollars and include taxes.

Join your colleagues at the CVMA Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday, July 16 where you can observe your peers receiving awards and being recognized for their achievements in the veterinary profession. Tickets must be purchased in advance with your registration to receive your complimentary lunch ticket.

In partnership with WSAVA and the CVMA, the Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO) is excited to provide delegates with the opportunity to participate in an outreach day on Saturday, July 13. This outreach day will include a 2.5-hour One Health workshop where we will provide background on CVO’s One Health model and approaches, along with presentations by both human and animal health partners, followed by a Community Veterinary Outreach One Health clinic for homeless and vulnerably housed pet owners at the Yonge Street Mission in Toronto. Delegates will be supervised by licensed veterinarians. Limited spots available.

A New Vet Tech Stream and Practice and Team Development track has been added to the WSAVA/CVMA 2019 Scientific Program. The Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada has created a program specific to RVTs needs. Topics include Dentistry; Hands-Free Radiology; Dermatology for RVTs; and Team Culture — what is it and how do I bring it to my team?

For more information on speakers, sessions and program scheduling, please visit the interactive scientific program online for the latest details. If you have not reserved already, the 2019 Congress has negotiated room blocks in nine hotels near the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Please visit congress/wsava19 to make your hotel reservations
