Mills Veterinary Services is looking for a veterinarian to join our team!
Mills Veterinary Services is seeking a small animal veterinary associate to join our growing 2 vet team. We are located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, just outside of Armstrong, BC. The clinic is situated on a rural property only 5 mins out of town, which creates an inviting atmosphere for visiting patients and clients. With several lakes and many hiking destinations in the area, Armstrong is a summer destination for many people and is equally fun in winter with 3 top quality ski hills nearby. Winters are pretty mild but if the cold isn’t your thing, the airport is close to sneak away for a beach vacation!
Our clinic is unique, offering high quality western medicine as well as in depth integrative care options. As a result we have a very high quality client base that makes practice more emotionally rewarding. Both full time veterinarians are certified in veterinary spinal manipulation therapy and TCVM acupuncture, and food/ herbal therapy is an important part of our practice. We have a small animal surgery suite complete with CO2 surgical laser and SA dental radiography, and offer digital radiography, ultrasound, in house blood analyzer and Imagyst system.
The successful applicant will have an interest in integrative modalities, including acupuncture and whole food nutrition. Certifications or courses in any of the following would be helpful: acupuncture, chiropractic and/or herbal therapy. Interest in basic soft tissue surgeries is an asset. We provide high quality general medicine and surgery for our clients and our brilliant tech team in the back provides first class anesthesia, induction, and monitoring, making your job easier!
Wages/ benefits/ CE options are competitive and negotiable, and lifestyle considerations are important to the whole team. Starting salary will range from $100,000 - $145,000 based on experience and a 32-40 hour work week. We are open to any level of experience and are motivated to find someone who will be a good fit with the clinic culture. Our practice works because of the kindness and compassion of our entire team. If you would like to pursue a veterinary career that’s a little off the beaten path, we might just be the practice for you!
