The Working Mind - Employee Course

The Working Mind (TWM) program, provided by Mental Health Commission of Canada and sponsored by Royal Canin, is a must for all veterinary staff. TWM addresses mental health distress caused by inherent workplace stresses such as day-to-day workflow pressures, interpersonal relationships, conflicts, and challenges unique to veterinary medicine like ethical and moral distress. Thanks to Royal Canin sponsorship, The Working Mind courses are available to CVMA members and non-members including all clinic staff at a significantly discounted price. All employee and manager courses have a capacity limit of 15 participants for each virtual course.

Foot-and-Mouth Disease Emergency Preparation Course for Canada

This course is a collaborative effort organized by the Animal Health Emergency Management Project. Working together, the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) have successfully tailored the EuFMD’s ‘Foot-and-Mouth Disease Emergency Preparation Course’ to reflect the Canadian context. Kicking off in May 2022, this bilingual tutored online course is perfect for CFIA and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) veterinarians, as well as private veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
