Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital is looking for veterinarians to join our
practice as hospitalists. Hospitalists will serve the critical functions of providing care for hospitalized patients from every specialty service, treating emergency patients and facilitating patient transfers.

Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital is a multi-specialty (critical care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, neurology and radiology) hospital with our primary location in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia and a secondary location in Bellingham, WA.

Our hospital offers a full complement of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic
equipment including digital radiography, on-site CT and on-site MRI. In addition
to a complete in-house lab, a full-reference diagnostic lab with clinical and anatomical
pathology and microbiology is located in the same complex.

The hospitalist will work closely with the specialists to provide continuity of care of
hospitalized patients and to facilitate communication with clients and referring
veterinarians. The hospitalist will evaluate, admit, and coordinate transfer to a specialty
service those patients who have been referred to the hospital for specialty care, are
returning or emergency patients. The hospitalist will oversee after-hours hospital operations including overseeing staff (technicians, veterinary assistants, and receptionists), providing
updates on hospitalized patients, and facilitating communication with clients and
referring veterinarians. The hospitalist will work closely with the BBVSH criticalist in a team-oriented approach to managing emergency and hospitalized patients with the highest level of care.

As BBVSH has practices in both Langley, BC and 45 minutes away in the
beautiful city of Bellingham, WA., there is a unique opportunity to live in either Canada
or the United States.
