The 2023 CVMA Convention is approaching quickly. You can register online to experience the only Canadian national multi-species Convention. The scientific program offers over 100 hours of Continuing Education (CE) for in-person attendees, and over 50 hours livestreamed CE for virtual attendees. All attendees will have access to the on-demand sessions for the remainder of the year.
On Friday, July 7, Drs. Soren Boysen and Serge Chalhoub will be presenting 4 sessions on Point of Care Ultrasound in Veterinary Medicine. Topics include What it is and What it Can Do For You!; Let’s Start with Abdominal POCUS More Please!; PLUS: Pleural Space and Lung Ultrasound for Everyday Practice (Part 1 and 2); and Matter of the Heart: Cardiovascular POCUS for Everyday Life. Attendees will be able to describe the key anatomic structures that are essential to performing pleural space and lung ultrasound, identify the pleural line, and determine the presence or absence of a glide sign, explain the normal findings of the bat sign, gator sign, A lines, B lines, lung pulse, and curtain sign, and much more!
Dr. Luis Arroyo will be presenting 3 sessions on Equine Medicine on July 7. Topics range from Neorickettsiosis (Potomac Horse Fever): The Canadian Story to Equine Parvovirus Hepatitis:

The program also offers sessions on Ruminant Surgery. Dr. Pierre-Yves Mulon will cover What Should I Do with This Broken Leg?; What Should I Do with This Swollen Navel?; and Surgical Treatment for Deep Pedal Infection.
