A New Membership Category Launches for the 2023 Renewal Campaign

November 15, 2022

In recognition of members for long standing support of the CVMA, the CVMA Council has established a new CVMA Lifetime Membership category to take effect for the 2023 renewal year with the following criteria and benefits:

Criteria for Eligibility:

  • CVMA membership in good standing of at least 35 years at the time of application for Life Membership status, with a signed statement indicating so; and
  • At least 65 years of age or more at the time of application for CVMA Life Member status; and
  • Fully retired from the practice of veterinary medicine based on a signed statement indicating so; and
  • Approval is at the discretion of the CVMA.

As a lifetime member, you would have access to all regular benefits of membership except the right to hold office, the right to vote and the receipt of a free print version of The CVJ (however, free access to both on-line CVMA journals is granted). This will also include special CVMA Convention registration pricing and no yearly membership dues going forward upon approval.

Because of this new category, the current CVMA Life Membership Award has been renamed the Distinguished Member Award and will be presented to a CVMA member for long and outstanding service on CVMA Council, Executive, Boards, and Committees or for outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession.

If you want to learn more or apply for this category of membership, please contact us by email at admin@cvma-acmv.org or by phone at 1-800-567-2862.
