Animal Health Canada Presents African Swine Fever Emergency Preparation Course for Canada

The Animal Health Canada Emergency Management Division has partnered with CFIA and FAO to present an online African Swine Fever Emergency Preparation Course for Canada. Scheduled to take place from February 13 to March 31, 2024, this course aims to equip participants with valuable insights into recognizing and responding to an ASF threat. Similar to their previous offerings for Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), Avian Influenza (AI), and African Swine Fever (ASF), the course is open to private practice veterinarians, veterinary technicians and technologists, as well as industry personnel. The participate fee is $180 for veterinarians and $150 for Canadian Veterinary Reserve Members, veterinary technicians and technologists, veterinarian students, and industry participants. The training is also open to US government and private practitioners.

NOTE: They are currently in the process of applying for RACE accreditation, with the program anticipated to be eligible for 15 hours of continuing education credit.
