The CCAC Publishes New Wildlife Guidelines

The CCAC guidelines: Wildlife is now available. This guidelines document, along with its associated frequently asked questions, is part of the series of guidelines on types of animals and addresses conditions normally present in wildlife research. It provides a framework for the implementation of evidence-based practices, with the aim of improving the welfare of wildlife.
This document provides information for protocol authors, animal care committees, animal care staff, and veterinarians to help facilitate improvements in both the care given to wildlife, and the manner in which scientific procedures are performed. It is based on expert peer advice and current interpretation of scientific evidence and has received extensive peer review.
