We also know that it can be one of the toughest jobs due to compassion fatigue, workforce shortages, client and public interactions or conflicts, and for some, the tension and worry that may result from contact with the regulator. On top of these challenges, the current post-pandemic vet-med landscape often involves personality outbursts, false accusations of being money-motivated, social media attacks, stress from staff shortages, clients’ financial constraints which may impact care, and the lack of kindness on the part of some irritated, frustrated, and belligerent people.
