Veterinary Teams Across Canada Unite to Highlight:
It Takes a Team… To Protect Your Animal’s Health and You!
This month, the core theme that embodies all past Animal Health Week (AHW) campaigns is “It Takes a Team… To Support Your Animal’s Health and You!” From October 1–7, 2023, CVMA will raise awareness about the importance of the community of veterinary health care workers and animal owners it takes to help raise happy and healthy animals.
The CVMA aims to use this year’s theme to educate the public about the importance of the veterinary team as a whole, to protect both animal and human health. There is no one more qualified to help safeguard the health and well-being of animals than a team of dedicated and highly trained veterinary professionals. Veterinary teams work tirelessly to keep animals healthy from routine check-ups and vaccinations to specialized treatments for any number of illnesses and conditions. Veterinary teams don’t just safeguard animal health, by ensuring animal health and happiness, they also help protect the safety of the animals’ owners as well.
During this Animal Health Week, we are emphasizing the importance of the entire veterinary team including:
- Veterinarians
- Veterinary technicians
- Hospital managers
- Receptionists
- And other team members
