CVMA Member and Staff Veterinarian Nominated for WVA Global Veterinary Award

We are pleased to share that Dr. Shane Renwick, CVMA Manager of National Issues, has been nominated for one of six World Veterinary Association global awards. Dr. Renwick has been nominated under the Medicines Stewardship category for his substantial contribution to antimicrobial awareness and responsible use, specifically through the Stewardship of Antimicrobials by Veterinarians Initiative (SAVI). This included collaboration on the development of Firstline app to provide point-of-care access to the CVMA Veterinary Guidelines for Antimicrobial Use.
Award winners will be announced in early 2024. All winners are invited to attend a final ceremony during WVAC 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa.
