Equine Castration Survey for Veterinarians in Canada
June 3, 2025
Researchers at the Atlantic Veterinary College are performing a Canada-wide survey on how Veterinarians in Canada castrate horses.
If you perform equine castrations, please complete the short survey.
Castration is one of the most common elective surgical procedures performed in the horse, yet there are many ways to get the job done! We are surveying Veterinarians in Canada about which protocols they use, anesthetic drug choice, pain management and antimicrobial selection.
There is also a chance to win one $250 Visa Gift Card at the conclusion of the study for participants who enter the draw. The odds of winning are estimated to be 1 in 200!
Results of the surveys will be anonymous and will help us have a better understanding of how veterinarians in Canada castrate horses.
Your participation is voluntary and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. The survey is available until June 30th, 2025.
