Students of the CVMA (SCVMA)

The SCVMA Committee will comprise of one representative from each Canadian veterinary college.  During their term, the representatives will occupy one of the following positions: President, Symposium Coordinator, VetRap Student Newsletter Coordinator, New Graduate Survey Report Coordinator and CVJ Editorial Coordinator.  Find out who your 2020-2021 SCVMA Committee rep is!

Did you know student veterinarians who are studying at one of Canada’s five veterinary colleges are CVMA members?

Every year, each veterinary student provides the CVMA with a $5 SCVMA Contribution fee.  Some students may not be aware of the fee since in most instance is paid directly by the college's student treasurer or the student services department.  To find out how the $5 token contribution, and the additional funds committed by the CVMA, are invested in the Students of the CVMA Program each year, please click here.

Did you know the CVMA offers a tiered membership fee for graduates?

Students who graduate receive a FREE CVMA membership granting access to all of the benefits (only until December 31 of the year the student graduated in).  Once tis offer expires, and if the student maintain uninterrupted membership after graduation for a consecutive 3-year period, they are eligible for the 75%-50%-25% tiered fee reduction.  Click here to find out more.
